A private, non-commercial inventory of railway engineering structures in Silesia, kept as a hobby and published in case it is useful to anybody else.

What it is not

• Not a travel guide. Access notes describe one visit on one day.
• Not connected with any infrastructure manager, operator, museum or public authority.
• Not a survey. Every dimension is quoted from a published source.
• Not exhaustive, and unlikely ever to be.

Why records rather than articles

Most writing about this subject is organised as narrative, which is pleasant to read and difficult to check. An inventory organised as numbered records with a fixed set of fields is duller and much easier to correct, because a wrong number has an address.

The trade-off is that the records say nothing about why any of it is interesting. The notes exist to carry that, and are kept firmly separate.

How the site is made

Static HTML generated from a set of plain-text records, served without cookies, without third-party resources and without analytics. Nothing on these pages loads from anywhere but this host. The one script on the site sorts tables and does nothing else.
